The Big Game Treestands #7 team opened up the month of September on Saturday by closing out 2012 action in ‘The Evergreen State’ as they returned to Skagit Speedway in Alger, Washington. Following a podium finish on night #1, Dollansky came into his fifteenth appearances at the 3/10-mile with 9 top-tens and 7 top-fives to go along with two victories.
Set to go with qualifying ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ stopped the clock at 11.453 seconds, 10th fastest of the 28 cars competing. A twelve car inversion for three heat races then put the MobileStar Maxim on the pole for heat #1 where Dollansky motored to the win in the 10-lap race. In the dash the Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products #7 lined up inside row five and finished 9th.
When the green flag waved on the 35-lap A-Main the current World of Outlaws point leader took eighth on lap 1 and then one position better before the first caution on lap 9. As racing continued the Aggressive Hydraulics backed sprinter ran just outside the top-five until the final yellow flag came on lap 26. With only 9 circuits remaining, Dollansky used a great double-file restart to advance two spots and maintain 5th before the checkered flag waved to record another strong finish.
Next up, the battle for the championship heads to Oregon for a first ever visit to Willamette Speedway on Labor Day.
