Historic USA Nationals Features New Format for Biggest Payout of the Season

NEW RICHMOND, WI – July 19, 2019 — The World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series begins the month of August with a final stop in Wisconsin for the biggest payday of the season, August 2-4. For over three decades now the USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway — located just across the Minnesota/Wisconsin state line, northeast of Minneapolis, MN in New Richmond, WI — has attracted the best dirt Late Model drivers in the country in hopes of grabbing the coveted eagle trophy and the $50,000 prize.

While the event has become a staple on the World of Outlaws schedule, a new format will shake things up this year.

Plymouth and Shawano events set up three days at Cedar Lake for the World of Outlaws Late Models

CONCORD, NC – July 18, 2018 — The World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series continues the 2018 season with a swing through Wisconsin that includes stops at three different tracks with five days of racing in just six days. The Series swing through the Badger State is one of the richest weeks of the season with more than $250,000 up for grabs.

The action-packed week kicks off at Plymouth Dirt Track on Monday, July 30, followed by Shawano Speedway on Tuesday, July 31, and culminates with the highest paying Outlaws show of the year, the $50,000-to-win USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway on Aug. 2-4.

CONCORD, NC — July 20, 2018 — With the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series making its way through the midwestern United States, the premier drivers in the dirt Late Model world continue one of the closest points battles to date. With two upcoming visits to the state of Iowa, defending Series Champion Brandon Sheppard is hoping that his July 7 victory at Dubuque Speedway — the Series’ only other appearance in the Hawkeye State — will propel the New Berlin, IL standout up the points rung.

Sheppard trails Chris Madden by just 12 points for second in the standings and is 34 back of current points leader Mike Marlar. With two more races in Iowa, Sheppard is hoping that previous success earlier in the month of July will carry over and build some much-needed momentum.

Championship Fight Picks up at Charlotte

iRACING — July 16, 2018 — The Dirt Track at Charlotte delivered another exciting championship event. Leonhardi took home his first win of the season, while the rest of the pack scrapped for second and back.

The three heat races went off without a hitch. While there wasn’t an overwhelming amount of passing, the racing was still very aggressive between the pack. Heat 1 saw Zach Leonhardi, Alex Bergeron, John Fidler, and David Heileman advance. In Heat 2, Drew Herchko, Dylan Houser, Casey Kirwan, and Phil Diaz moved on. Heat 3 let Kevin Dedmon, Charles Cosper, Nick Cooper, and Adam Elby get the direct pass to the Feature.

Brandon Sheppard Collects Eighth Win of 2018 at Black Hills Speedway

RAPID CITY, SD– July 10, 2018–  Brandon Sheppard collected his eighth World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series victory of the season at Black Hills Speedway on Tuesday evening. The Rocket1 Racing team continued their recent hot streak at the Series most western stop of the 2018 season.

The defending World of Outlaws Championship team has collected three wins of the Series last four events: Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 on June 30, Dubuque Speedway on Friday, July 6, and Black Hills Speedway on July 10. The one event he didn’t win, Sheppard collected a fourth-place finish.
