After a caution and red opened the 35-lap A-Main, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ used an outstanding start from inside row two to motor three-wide for first going into turn 1 and then lead the field down the backstretch. As Dollansky worked the highside he approached lapped traffic before the final caution on lap 8. Bringing the field back up to speed, Dollansky powered out to a commanding lead and worked through traffic beginning on lap 17.
As the feature continued, Dollansky worked the highside as laps wound down with Donny Schatz moving into second working the bottom. Exiting turn four coming to the white flag, Schatz pulled even with the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim to lead lap 34 but Dollansky was not about to back down. Racing for the lead down the backstretch, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ took Schatz’s line away going into turn 3 and the duo drag raced out of turn 4 to the checkered flag with Dollansky taking the thrilling victory in front of a packed grandstand.
“It don’t get any better than that,” commented Dollansky who picked up his 8th World of Outlaws win this season. “To win in front of one of my hometown crowds and people we normally don’t get to race in front of with family, friends, and a lot of great fans in Minnesota, it’s pretty awesome to have that after the heartbreaker last night.
“This team keeps digging after being victim of a lapped car that spun in front of us last night. This team is strong led by DJ Lindsey, Luke Dollansky, and Sean Michael and I’m fortunate to have a great team like that along with everybody that supports this team. There were a bunch of people from Aggressive Hydraulics here tonight so it was great to win with all of them. To get win number eight I’m encouraged with that and we have a lot of racing yet to do this year. We’re going to focus on that and try get as many wins as we can down the stretch and keep working hard every night.”
Up next for the Big Game Treestands #7 team is a return to Eagle Raceway in Nebraska on Wednesday for an event that was rained out earlier this season.
