Craig Dollansky had just two month to prepare for the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series 2008 season. After joining Larry Woodward Racing to pilot the No. 2 car in early December, he and his new team worked countless hours in the shop, meticulously getting ready for their first season together.

Jason Meyers came close to winning on the first night of the Alltel DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park and again on the third night, battling with Donny Schatz in both of those contests. The pair found themselves dueling yet again on Saturday night, and this time Meyers was not about to be outdone, as held off Schatz to earn his first A-Feature win of the 2008 Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series season.

Over the course of the last week, Danny Lasoski was plagued with some bad luck on the track and also was under the weather off the track, battling the flu for a majority of the 37th Alltel DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park.

Steve Kinser had won a lot of close races in his career, including two of the three closest finishes this season, and he added to this total on Saturday night, inching out Danny Lasoski by 0.150 seconds in the finale of the inaugural Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

Joey Saldana is batting .500 this season at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, California. He won in the World of Outlaws first visit of the season to the track back in February and earned his second win in four tries on Friday, during the opening night of the 14th annual Trophy Cup for 360-sprint cars.

Jason Meyers had been close to winning the Trophy Cup a number of times over the last five seasons, including coming up just one position short on the track last season. On Saturday night he earned his second consecutive finish of fourth or better to wrap up the overall Trophy Cup title at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, California, which earned him $15,000.
