GRAND FORKS, N.D. — Aug. 15, 2014 — Daryn Pittman did not want to see the caution flag that flew with three laps to go in Friday night’s World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series event at River Cities Speedway.

For the previous 37 laps, the Owasso, Okla. native had been fending off strong challenges from Kraig Kinser and current series point leader Donny Schatz, who won the last time the Outlaws were at the track.

KNOXVILLE, Iowa — Aug. 9, 2014 — Engine trouble could not slow Danny Lasoski as he won the FVP Knoxville Nationals non-qualifier feature Saturday afternoon.

The problems on Lasoski’s Creason Pipeline Services car popped up after he crossed the finish line in heat two. His crew quickly repaired the car and Lasoski was able to take his seventh place starting position in the feature.

KNOXVILLE, Iowa — Aug. 8, 2014 — One lap is all Shane Stewart led at Friday night’s qualifying feature for the FVP Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey’s General Stores, but it was the one that mattered.

Stewart, who has one World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series win on the season at Eldora Speedway in May, started the feature Friday night in sixth and after working his way through the field, passed Kraig Kinser on the final lap for the win.

KNOXVILLE, Iowa — Aug. 7, 2014 — Brian Brown fired the opening shot in the battle for the FVP Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey’s General Stores, surging past Sam Hafertepe Jr. to win Thursday night’s qualifying feature.

Brown, who has found himself in recent years fighting five-time World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series Champion Donny Schatz for the Knoxville Nationals title, said he is keeping Schatz in his sights but is also thinking about tonight’s third place finisher, Kerry Madsen.
