SYLVANIA, GA – Feb. 10, 2012 – Shane Clanton debuted a new car in sparkling fashion on Friday night, driving to a convincing heat-race victory during the World of Outlaws Late Model Series ‘Winter Freeze’ qualifying program at Screven Motor Speedway.

A strong field of 56 was signed in for the national tour’s season-opening weekend, which will conclude on Saturday night (Feb. 11) with a 60-lap A-Main paying $20,000 to win.

After capturing the 50-lap World Finals finale for the third consecutive year, the standout driver from Newport, Tenn., witnessed a raucous Victory Lane scene involving Rick Eckert of York, Pa., who clinched his first-ever WoO LMS title in dramatic fashion.

CONCORD, N.C — November 5, 2011 — Donny Schatz put an exclamation point on the 2011 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series season Saturday night. A four time series champion, Schatz won the final two races of the season at the Lowes Foods World Finals presented by Tom’s Snacks, Coca-Cola and Nature’s Own at The Dirt Track at Charlotte. CONCORD, N.C — November 4, 2011 — Even though he won’t claim a fifth series title this season, Donny Schatz is ending 2011 in a high note. Coming into the Lowes Foods World Finals presented by Tom’s Snacks, Coca-Cola and Nature’s Own, Schatz holds a slim lead over teammate Steve Kinser for the second spot in the series standings. Richards & Davenport Earn Fast Time Honors On Wet Kellogg’s Qualifying Night At The Lowes Foods World of Outlaws World Finals

CONCORD, NC – Nov. 3, 2011 – Josh Richards of Shinnston, W.Va., and Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, Ga., shared fast-time honors during Thursday night’s wet Kellogg’s Qualifying Night at the Lowes Foods World of Outlaws World Finals presented by Tom’s Snacks, Coca-Cola and Nature’s Own.

A star-studded field of 66 dirt Late Models signed in for action in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series event, which is part of a blockbuster season-ending tripleheader at The Dirt Track at Charlotte. The rain-plagued program also drew 55 machines for the companion World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series meet and 30 entries for the Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modified action.

Qualifying for Saturday night’s event shifts to Friday’s program

CONCORD, N.C. — November 3, 2011 — After crisscrossing the country on one of the most grueling schedules in racing, the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series began their final weekend of racing in the fifth annual Lowes Foods World Finals presented by Tom’s Snacks, Coca-Cola and Nature’s Own. Before they could find out who would be taking the final checkered flags of the season, 55 drivers and teams had to time in for Friday and Saturday night’s event in the Kellogg’s Qualifying Night. When the dust settled, it was Sam Hafertepe Jr. timing in quickest for Friday night’s event.

Screven Motor Speedway Management Cancels World of Outlaws Late Model Series Event Set For Wed., Nov. 2

SYLVANIA, GA – Oct. 24, 2011 – The World of Outlaws Late Model Series event scheduled for Wed., Nov. 2, at Screven Motor Speedway has been canceled, track owner Redd Griffin announced on Monday.

The national tour was set to compete at the three-eighths-mile oval as part of the track’s rescheduled ‘Winter Freeze’ program, a doubleheader featuring dirt Late Models and the All-Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car Series that was rained out on its original date in February. Griffin added a World of Outlaws sanction to the full-fender portion of the twinbill after the WoO LMS’s lone 2011 visit to Screven on March 26 was washed out by thunderstorms.

EASTABOGA, Ala. — Oct. 22, 2011 — David Gravel was able to do something in the Sage Fruit Showdown at the Talladega Short Track that no one else has been able to do in the last five World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. Gravel ended Jason Meyers winning streak at five as the Watertown, Conn. grabbed his first career victory at the 1/3rd mile, high banked oval.

Meyers Battles Schatz to Score Fifth Consecutive Win on Tour

Clovis, Calif. widens points lead as series returns to Fremont (Ohio) Speedway

FREMONT, Ohio — Oct. 15, 2011 — Jason Meyers had an opportunity and took it. The move paid dividends for Meyers as he claimed his fifth consecutive World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series win. The victory was the 56th of the 2010 Champion’s career and marked the Outlaws return to the 1/3rd mile track for the first time since 1993.
