Saldana Seventh Sunday at Calistoga, Fifth in Outlaws Point Standings

CALISTOGA, Calif. (April 12, 2015) – The Wine Country Showdown finale tonight at picturesque Calistoga Speedway brought out another field of 35 marquee sprint car teams and drivers.

Joey Saldana, last night’s fast qualifier and the Calistoga track record holder, clocked a 16.999-second lap tonight good for the No. 3 qualifying spot.

In the third heat, Saldana rolled to the green flag with his Motter Equipment HE&M Saw Beltline Body Shop sprint car from the fourth position. When the track went green, polesitter Bud Kaeding assumed the lead. Rico Abreu was second and Saldana mastered a slide job that bought him third place. The top three did not change position for the remainder of the event. Saldana solidified a spot in the dash as well as the feature.

Saldana Finishes Sixth in Calistoga Saturday Feature

CALISTOGA, Calif. (April 11, 2015) – Tonight was the first of a two-night World of Outlaws stand at picturesque Calistoga Speedway in the heart of the California wine country.

Joey Saldana was fastest in hot laps tonight and logged his second No. 1 qualifying effort of the season, lapping the half-mile in 15.782 seconds in the Motter Equipment HE&M Saw Beltline Body Shop 71M.

Unpredictable Night of World of Outlaws Racing at Placerville

PLACERVILLE, Calif. (April 8, 2015) — For the first time in 23 years, the World of Outlaws returned to Placerville Speedway for an event promoted by Outlaws campaigner Brad Sweet at his hometown track.

On a track where Joey Saldana had never turned a wheel, he drove the Motter Equipment HE&M Saw Beltline Body Shop 71M to an 11.008-second lap, qualifying in the No. 9 position. California drivers occupied the top eight qualifying positions, putting Saldana in the top slot for “out of state” drivers.

Strong Runner Up Finish at Antioch for CJB

TELFORD, PA. – April 1, 2015 – Paul McMahan was charging. A pole position and a stout #51 machine had the Nashville Tenn. resident gunning for a victory at Antioch Speedway. The only thing standing in his way? Daryn Pittman.
