Reigning Outlaws Champion Looking for Another California Victory

INDIANAPOLIS (March 26, 2015) – After ending his California winless streak last Saturday night, six-time and reigning World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series champion Donny Schatz is ready to pocket more gold this weekend. The driver of the of Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing’s (TSR) No. 15 Bad Boy Buggies/Chevrolet Performance J&J continues the California bullring battles Saturday and Sunday with the Mini Gold Cup at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico and at Antioch Speedway.

The competition has been fierce through the first two weekends of the California Spring Tour for the Outlaws. Schatz admitted after last Saturday’s triumph at the Stockton Dirt Track that he and his Bad Boy Buggies/Chevrolet Performance team have experienced just about everything early in the 2015 WoO campaign, and the 19-year WoO veteran knowns the challenges will continue this weekend.

Saldana and Motter Team Headed to California Tracks Chico and Antioch

CHICO, Calif. (March 25, 2015) – This weekend World of Outlaws competition remains in California with a Saturday, March 28, stop at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico and a Sunday, March 29, event at Antioch Speedway.

Joey Saldana, driver of the Motter Equipment HE&M Saw Beltline Body Shop sprint car, is a four-time winner at Silver Dollar . His most recent victory at this quarter-mile high- banked oval was in September of 2013 in the Motter 71M. Normally the Outlaws visit Chico on the Spring Swing and again during the fall, but last year the spring event was rained out.

Sides Steals Show with Wild Pirouette During World of Outlaws Finale in Stockton

Inside Line Promotions – STOCKTON, Calif. (March 24, 2015) – Jason Sides wasn’t able to win a World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series race last weekend at Stockton Dirt Track, but he did steal the show on Sunday night.

Sides capped the doubleheader midway through the main event by executing a move in his sprint car only a figure skater would attempt.

After qualifying seventh quickest and finishing third in a heat race to lock himself into the main event, Sides battled inside the top 10 throughout the first portion of the feature.

Schuchart Scores Best Result at Stockton Dirt Track to Lead Shark Racing

Inside Line Promotions – STOCKTON, Calif. (March 24, 2015) – Shark Racing is ready to put last weekend at Stockton Dirt Track in the rearview mirror.

“We were better than last season, but not where we want to be,” Logan Schuchart said. “We learned setups, how to drive it and some things to do for next year when we return though.”

Schuchart’s weekend with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series was highlighted on Saturday when he qualified 18th quickest, finished seventh in a heat race and won the Last Chance Showdown to garner a transfer into the main event.

Schatz Becomes Outlaws’ First 2015 Repeat Winner

Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing (TSR) driver Donny Schatz continued the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series California Spring Tour with his second WoO A-Feature triumph of 2015 Saturday night at the Stockton (Calif.) Dirt Track. The driver of the TSR No. 15 Bad Boy Buggies/Chevrolet Performance J&J became the first repeat winner after leading 14 of the final 15 laps in the 30-lap thriller that included Schatz overtaking leader Shane Stewart coming out of turn four on the final lap and beating him to the finish line by . 220 of a second.

Schatz finished ninth in Sunday’s finale of the two-night FVP Western Spring Shootout at Stockton and the six-time and reigning WoO champion continues to rank second in the championship standings behind Stewart.

Motter Team Gains a Position in Points Despite Disappointing Finish Saturday at Stockton

STOCKTON, Calif. (March 22, 2015) – Joey Saldana had a third place finish at the Stockton Dirt Track last night and was in the heat of the battle but he wanted more. Tonight he hoped to be a little bit better as the World of Outlaws West Coast Swing hit its halfway mark.

But the evening began to develop challenges early on. Saldana was the 20th qualifier tonight in the Motter Equipment HE&M Saw Beltline Body Shop 71M, a very unusual spot for the veteran driver who had more No. 1 qualifying efforts last year than any other driver and had qualified no worse than ninth this season.

In the first two appearances by “The Greatest Show on Dirt” at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds facility, the driver of Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing’s (TSR) No. 15 Bad Boy Buggies/Chevrolet Performance J&J has finished third and second. This weekend, he’ll make his third trip to the 3/8-mile, semi-banked dirt oval for a pair of races Saturday and Sunday in the FVP Western Spring Shootout with an eye on grabbing the top spot on the podium.

McMahan Adds Top-10’s at Tulare

TELFORD, PA. – March 16, 2015 – If there was one thing that was consistent between both nights of World of Outlaws action at Thunderbowl Raceway, it was that the #51 car was moving forward.

“Tulare was good for us,” said McMahan, driver of the Bairs Tree Service, Nyce Crete & Landis Block & Concrete and All Star Performance sponsored machine. “We didn’t get caught up in any accidents and our car was extremely fast. You can’t ask for much more than that other than a win or two.”

Momentum was behind the CJB team as it rolled into Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif. McMahan came into the event with an average finish of 6.8 through 15 events. The double header at one of California’s most exciting tracks kicked off the Outlaws first swing through the Golden State.
