ROLLER COASTER: McMahan Ends DIRTcar Nats on High Note

TELFORD, PA. – February 18, 2015 – The frustration on Paul McMahan’s face said more than his words could on the frontsretch of Volusia Speedway Park. The Nashville, Tenn. native had just capped off a week of ups and downs with a second place finish on the final night of a five-race stretch.

“These guys bust their tails each night and I let them down on the final night,” said McMahan, who qualified in the top-5 four of the five nights. “After the week we’ve had, I should’ve been happy with a runner up but not when we had a great car and led 20 laps. We had a great battle with Brad (Sweet) at the end. Just came up short.”

IN REVIEW: CJB Motorsports Finishes Second Fulltime Outlaw Season

TELFORD, PA. – November 20, 2014 – When it’s all said and done, few challenges in sports can match that of competing on the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series tour.

“Running the Outlaw circuit is one of the most fun, yet difficult things I think you can ever do,” said Paul McMahan, driver of the Bairs Tree Service/Nyce Crete & Landis Block & Concrete/All Star Performance sponsored machine. “Between the travel, the competition and the general grind of racing over 90 nights a year, this series will wear you down. Plain and simple. The flip side of that is the fact that if you walk up and down the pits at any of our races and ask anyone, this is circuit they want to be on. This is where they want to be. This is where the best of the best come to race. We all want to be beat the best. That’s why we keep coming back each and every year.”

Shark Racing Goes the Distance

On the left was a rather shabby golf cart, held together primarily by high hopes.
