Tony Stewart Racing Teammates Chasing Gold in California

INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 4, 2014) – Tony Stewart Racing’s Steve Kinser made a career of winning Sprint car racing’s most prestigious events, and his TSR teammate Donny Schatz is racking an impressive win list of his own. The one marquee event on the World of Outlaws (WoO) STP Sprint Car Series schedule that has eluded both since 2005 is the crown jewel of the West – the Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California. Kinser leads all drivers with 12 Gold Cup titles and Schatz is looking to win his second Gold Cup when the Outlaws return to Northern California for the 61st running of the event Friday and Saturday.

Shark Racing Willamette Race Report

LEBANON, Ore., Sept. 3 — It was another new track for World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series rookies Logan Schuchart and Jacob Allen Tuesday night when the series visited Willamette Speedway, but both Shark Racing drivers qualified for the 30-lap A-main and were running at the finish. Schuchart held off a hard-charging Jonathan Allard at the checkered flag and finished tenth. Allen was a little further back in the pack in 19th place, but his fastest race lap was just 0.104 of a second slower than his teammate in the very competitive field that saw 17 drivers break the track record in time trials.

FISHING FOR VICTORIES: CJB Motorsports Tackles Pacific Northwest

TELFORD, PA. – September 3, 2014 – Running 90 or more races throughout the year leaves little time for hobbies. Luckily, the grueling World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series schedule lightened up a bit and Paul McMahan was able to find a few days to pursue something other than a checkered flag.

“I don’t get much time during the season for my hobbies but I always make it a point to go fishing with friends when I am up in the Northwest, ” said McMahan, who is a Northern California native. “We always have a ball. The scenery is great and we actually managed to catch some fish.”

Tony Stewart Racing: World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series Skagit, Elma Report

One week after successfully sweeping the World of Outlaws (WoO) STP Sprint Car Series 2014 Canadian tour, Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Donny Schatz continued his winning streak aboard the TSR No. 15 STP/Armor All/Crimsafe J&J with three more wins over Labor Day weekend. Schatz swept the state of Washington, winning twice at Skagit Speedway in Alger Friday and Saturday, then closing out the weekend Monday night with his 20th win of the season at Grays Harbor Raceway Park in Elma.

Shark Racing’s Schuchart Finishes Sixth in A-Main; Allen Wins the B

ELMA, Wash., Sept. 2 — Shark Racing’s Logan Schuchart finished sixth in the A-main and his teammate Jacob Allen won the B-main in their first appearances at Grays Harbor Raceway ever Monday night in World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series action.

Schuchart started fourth in the 30-lap, 24-car A-main and ran as high as third, as he passed Cody Darrah for that position about the same time as eventual winner Donny Schatz was taking the lead from Steve Kinser. Darrah passed Schuchart back on the following lap, however. Daryn Pittman also got around him working lap 17 to push him to fifth, and both Shane Stewart and Kerry Madsen got by shortly thereafter.

Kraig Kinser Opens Busy West Coast Swing at Skagit

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — August 27, 2014 — Leading up to the Monster Meltdown at Skagit Speedway, Kraig Kinser and his fellow World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series competitors will have had six full days between races. That will be the longest break they’ll have for a couple of weeks, as the Monster Meltdown at Skagit kicks off a stretch of eight races in nine nights in three states on the West Coast.

CANADIAN CLOSER: McMahan Wraps Up Five Race Series Strong

TELFORD, PA. – August 27, 2014 – Oh Canada.

For five races in 2014, Paul McMahan and the CJB Motorsports team has ventured north of the border with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series. In that that time, the team experienced a wide spectrum of results.

“Canada was good for us, ” said McMahan, who had an average finish of 8.2 in Canada in 2014. “We had our struggles in Ohsweken (Speedway) and the first night at Castrol (Raceway) but all in all, we were very consistent which is what you need to be when you are racing for a championship.”

Schatz Sweeps Oil City Cup

Tony Stewart Racing’s Donny Schatz is a huge fan of Canada and the current World of Outlaws (WoO) STP Sprint Car Series championship leader continued to show why this past weekend by sweeping the Oil City Cup at Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta. The victories capped a five-race Canadian winning streak for the driver of the TSR No. 15 STP/Armor All/Crimsafe J&J and raised his total of 2014 WoO A-Feature triumphs to 17.

Shark Racing Drivers Win KSE Hard-Charger Awards

NISKU, Alberta, Canada, Aug. 24 — Although it was their first visit ever to Castrol Raceway, Shark Racing’s Logan Schuchart and Jacob Allen of Hanover, Pa. each won KSE Hard-Charger Awards in World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series action at the three-eighths-mile dirt oval Friday and Saturday night.

Schuchart posted a sixth-place finish in Friday night’s 30-lap A-main and then improved upon that by two positions when he finished fourth in a similar feature on Saturday night. He started 14th on Saturday, and the 10 spots he improved earned him his third KSE Hard-Charger Award of the season. The fourth-place finish was also the fifth top-five finish so far this year for Schuchart, who like his teammate is a contender for the prestigious Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award.
