For sprint car fans in the northern reaches of Canada, the annual Oil City Cup at Castrol Raceway in Edmonton are sights and sounds they most look forward to all year long , as the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series invades town. Kraig Kinser will make his seventh consecutive trip to the Great White North for the two-night event this weekend.

Kraig Kinser Earns Three Top-Five Finishes in Three Races

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — August 18, 2014 — Following a runner-up finish on the second preliminary night of the Knoxville Nationals, Kraig Kinser and his team have been on a roll. They wrapped up sprint car racing’s biggest event with a 10th-place finish and carried that momentum into a trio of races in the Midwest this past week and weekend. Kinser finished among the top-five in all three races, at three different tracks in a pair of states for the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series.

Tony Stewart Racing Driver Scores North Dakota Win, Continues Podium Streak

The hottest driver on the World of Outlaws (WoO) STP Sprint Car Series tour continued his assault on dirt tracks in his home state of North Dakota this past weekend. Tony Stewart Racing’s Donny Schatz posted a runner-up finish Friday night at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks and scored his third straight victory at Nodak Speedway in his hometown of Minot Sunday behind the wheel of the TSR No. 15 STP/Armor All/Crimsafe J&J. Those finishes followed victories earlier in the week at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Nebraska, and last Saturday night’s 54th FVP Knoxville (Iowa) Nationals. The five-time WoO STP Sprint Car Series champion has now finished on the podium in each of the last 12 WoO A-Feature races.

Salute to the King Tour Invades Gerdau Magic City Showdown at Nodak on Sunday

Inside Line Promotions – MINOT, N.D. – This Sunday will mark the final trip to Nodak Speedway for Steve Kinser as a full-time member of the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series.

The Gerdau Magic City Showdown Presented by Schatz Crossroad Truck Stop and Minot Tourism will host the Salute to the King Tour, which will give Kinser one final chance at winning a World of Outlaws race at the 3/8-mile track.

“It’s been a nice race track and I’ve enjoyed racing there,” he said.

River Cities Speedway Hosts World of Outlaws Salute to the King Tour This Friday

Inside Line Promotions – GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Steve Kinser has been in the middle of some of the most epic World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series races.

The Salute to the King Tour with the premier sprint car series will make its lone stop at the 3/8-mile track in rural Nebraska this season, which will mark the fourth race there in the last five years.

Kraig Kinser Finishes Second in Knoxville Preliminary Feature; Will Start Ninth in Knoxville Nationals

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — August 9, 2014 — Kraig Kinser had to wait a couple extra days to get on the track for his preliminary night at the 54th FVP Knoxville Nationals Presented by Casey’s General Store due to Mother Nature, but he made the most of it, finishing second to lock himself into tonight’s 50-lap, $150,000-to-win main event. Kinser started second and led 23 laps on Friday night, before Shane Stewart executed a last-lap pass to take the win.

“You never want to finish second, after leading so many laps, but we really didn’t know what we had coming into the Nationals, so to content for the win and lead so many laps, we’ll take it,” said Kinser. “Getting locked in for tonight was the main thing and we can fine-tune on the car now today, rather than have to worry about running earlier in the day.”
