ELBRIDGE, N.Y. (July 22, 2013) – Rolling Wheels Raceway Park hosts the last stand for the World of Outlaws July 23 before they cross the border for a three-race run into Quebec and Ontario, Canada.

Joey Saldana, driver of the Motter Equipment Fatheadz Eyewear 71M, despite a strong run Sunday (July 21) night in Lebanon Valley, N.Y., wasn’t able to capitalize on the strength of the team and competitiveness of the car due to a tire failure two laps from the end of the event.

After Mother Nature washed out the opening night of the Summer Nationals on Friday, Craig Dollansky and the Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team returned to Williams Grove Speedway for the finale on Saturday as they prepared for their second stop of the season at ‘The Grove’.

Set to go in central Pennsylvania, 44 drivers prepared for qualifying where Dollansky piloted the MobileStar Maxim to the 5th fastest lap circling the paper clip shaped 1/2-mile in 18.171 seconds.  Needing to finish top-two in heat competition to transfer into the dash, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ started inside row two and dropped to fifth initially before battling back motoring up to 2nd by the completion of the 8-lap event.  A six pill inversion draw for the dash then put the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim on the outside pole where Dollansky slipped back a few spots finishing 6th.

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (July 20, 2013) – World of Outlaws Summer Nationals competition got underway tonight at Williams Grove Speedway following Friday’s night’s rain out.  The Morgan Cup was also on the line with the Outlaws having won one event, and the Pennsylvania Posse one event, heading into tonight’s tie breaker.

 

Joey Saldana, with a 2002 Summer Nationals victory on his resume, went out about midway in the qualifying order and lapped the half-mile track in 18.441 seconds, putting him nineteenth in the qualifying order.

WATERTOWN, Conn.—July 14, 2013— David Gravel had two main goals in mind when opening the “Month of Money” this past week, with the running of the 25th Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic Presented by Racing Optics and the 30th Kings Royal for the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series. First, he wanted to qualify for the A-Feature at each event and second, he was looking to earn a top-10 finish in each of the marquee events. The 21-year-old was able to accomplish both as he came home fifth in the Brad Doty Classic and was ninth in the Kings Royal, earning the KSE Hard Charger Award in the process for passing the most cars during the A-Feature.

DODGE CITY, Kan. (July 5, 2013) – Joey Saldana hoped to keep his Boot Hill Showdown hot streak alive.  A five-time and all-time leading A-Main winner at Dodge City Raceway Park, Saldana and the Motter Equipment Fatheadz Eyewear team were ready to face off against the other World of Outlaws competitors who had come to town for the Showdown in the dirt.

Saldana qualified tenth quick with a lap of 13.258 seconds around the 3/8-mile oval, placing him on the pole of the first heat race.
