MIDWEST SWING THIS WEEKEND

LASALLE, Ill. (June 24, 2013) – Joey Saldana and the World of Outlaws head into a racing trifecta this weekend beginning with a Friday, June 24 event at LaSalle Speedway, followed by a Saturday stop at Beaver Dam, Wis. and finally a Sunday event at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis. to conclude June’s racing activities.

Saldana, driver of the Motter Equipment Fatheadz Eyewear 71M sprint car, is the defending champion at LaSalle Speedway, having won the A-Main the last time the Outlaws raced there in 2010.

Two Races, Two Top-Fives for Kraig Kinser at River Cities & I-94

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.—June 23, 2013 — A total of 19 drivers competed in both main events with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series over the weekend at River Cities Speedway in North Dakota, and I-94 Speedway in Minnesota. Just one of those competitors finished in the top-five both nights — Kraig Kinser. The native of Bloomington, Ind., was fifth at River Cities and finished in that same spot in the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series inaugural event at I-94.

Big Game Motorsports Garners Two More Top Fives, Four Top 10s

Inside Line Promotions – FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (June 25, 2013) – For the second straight week Big Game Motorsports teammates Sammy Swindell and Craig Dollansky each earned a top five and two top 10s during World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series action.

And for the second consecutive week the Eyecon Trail Cameras car powered by Dollansky battled with the Big Game Treestands backed Swindell for position as the premier sprint car series tackled River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D., on Friday to open the weekend.

Eighth in River Cities Thriller

The thrilling highbanks of River Cities Speedway was up next for the Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team as they prepared for another weekend of action in the Upper Midwest.  In eleven previous appearances at the ¼-mile, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ has captured three victories with eight top-fives and finished in the top-ten on all but one occasion.

With 36 drivers signed in for competition in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Dollansky was fourth fastest in hotlaps and carried the speed into qualifying piloting the MobileStar Maxim to the 4th fastest lap at 10.346 seconds.  Wild heat race action then saw Dollansky start outside row two and drop back at the initial start before chasing down Chad Kemenah for a spot in the dash before a caution with two laps remaining.  On the restart Dollansky went over the banking bringing out the caution but raced up to 5th on the ensuing restart to transfer into the main event.

David Gravel Wins at I-94 Speedway on Eve of 21st Birthday with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series

WATERTOWN, Conn.—June 23, 2013— With his 21st birthday just mere hours away, David Gravel gave himself an early present, as he was victorious in the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series inaugural event at I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, Minn., on Saturday, June 22. The native of Watertown, Conn., led all 30 laps en route to earning the second World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series win of his career.

Strong Showing in Fergus Falls Debut

Following a top-ten finish in Grand Forks on Friday, the Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team traveled south to Fergus Falls, Minnesota the following night as the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars geared up for their inaugural visit to I-94 Speedway.

After much anticipation and a huge crowd on hand at the highbanked 3/8-mile, Dollansky began the race program qualifying 8th at 13.217 seconds among the 28 drivers signed into the pit area.  Starting outside pole of heat two, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ led the endurance of the 8-lap event capturing his series-leading 12th heat race victory and earning a spot in the dash.  After a four pill inversion draw for the dash just missed the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim, Dollansky started outside row three advancing one spot to finish 5th.

HALF-MILE RACING FOR THE OUTLAWS THIS WEEKEND

JACKSON, Minn. (June 11, 2013) – The World of Outlaws kick off their weekend of racing Friday, June 14 at Jackson Speedway with the Eyecon Trail Cameras Big Game Shootout.

Joey Saldana, driver of the Motter Equipment Fatheadz Eyewear 71M, has some unfinished business he is anxious to complete.  The team has some new tune-up strategy they were looking forward to testing this past Sunday in Nebraska, but rain forced cancellation of the event. 

Hopefully Mother Nature will take a step back this weekend to allow fans at Jackson Speedway and Knoxville Raceway to enjoy the best sprint car racing on the planet.
