Lone Visit to New Jersey Yields Top-Ten

For the first time since 2007 the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars returned to New Egypt Speedway for a weekday stop on Tuesday.  With the event also marking the only visit of the season in New Jersey, Craig Dollansky and the Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team prepared for the 7/16-mile track where ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ has recorded top-tens in each of his three previous appearances including two top-fives.

After getting a feel for the track in hotlaps, Dollansky piloted the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim to the 16th fastest lap in qualifying at 13.775 seconds among the 32 drivers signed in for competition.  Heat race action then put the Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products backed sprinter on the pole of heat four where the Elk River, Minnesota native took command leading all 8 circuits to earn a spot in the dash.  Starting last in the 6-lap dash, outside row five, Dollansky had no place to go but forward as he raced past three cars and then battled with Paul McMahan for sixth but ultimately finished 7th.

Inside Line Promotions – MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (May 20, 2013) – Mother Nature has been wreaking havoc on Big Game Motorsports and the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series the past few days.

Rain postponed the Gettysburg Clash at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pa., from Wednesday to Thursday, the Morgan Cup at Williams Grove Speedway was washed out on Saturday and the lone event at Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, N.Y., was postponed from Sunday to Monday because of weather.

Rose Back in the Saddle as World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series Invades Northeast

Inside Line Promotions – MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (May 20, 2013) – Last weekend was a mixed return for Bill Rose.

After taking nearly a month off to heal from a broken left arm, Rose competed with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series as it made its first visit of the season to Pennsylvania. While a couple of low qualifying spots put Rose behind from the start each night, his arm felt normal during the latest test.

Rose Returns to Action with a Trio of World of Outlaws Events

Inside Line Promotions – EL PASO, Texas (April 17, 2013) – With a unique brace and the urge to get behind the wheel, Bill Rose returned to action last weekend with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series.

After missing the previous 10 races because of a broken left arm, Rose and his team pulled down a second car to join David Gravel in a pair of Bill Rose Racing entries beginning at Kings Speedway in Hanford, Calif., on Friday.

“Hanford was my test to see if I was going to be able to drive or not,” Rose said. “I can’t race without a brace on my arm, but the brace I’ve got makes it difficult to hold onto the steering wheel.”

Rose qualified 24th, which put him toward the back of his heat race. With passing at a premium, he was relegated to the Last Chance Showdown, where he finished one spot out of a transfer to the feature.

With only 21 cars each of the next two races – at Perris Auto Speedway in Perris, Calif., last Friday and at El Paso Speedway Park on Tuesday – Rose decided to start and park both events.

Saldana Sets Sites on Paducah, Haubstadt

SALDANA WILL JOIN THE OUTLAWS SET TO THUNDER AT PADUCAH AND HAUBSTADT

PADUCAH, Ky. (April 16, 2013) –  Motter Equipment Fatheadz Eyewear Sprint Car driver Joey Saldana is the defending World of Outlaws champion at Paducah International Raceway.  In seven years of competition at this facility, there has never been a repeat winner.

When the Outlaws make their lone stop in Kentucky Friday, April 19, Saldana and the 71M team hope to change history by becoming back-to-back victors.

“I really enjoy racing at this track,” said the Brownsburg Bullet.  “It is a high-banked 3/8-mile track with long straightaways.  I’ve probably only raced here three times and my worst finish has been second place.

“This track has a great fan base and we always like putting on a good show here.”

Kraig Kinser Finishes Fifth at Hanford; Three Races Await this Week

Bloomington, Ind.—April 14, 2013— The first time Kraig Kinser visited Kings Speedway in Hanford, Calif., in 2011 he and his fellow World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series competitors battled Mother Nature right up to the feature event, with rain claiming the win that night. This time around, rain was the furthest thing from anyone’s mind, as temperatures nearing 90-degrees greeted competitors, along with one of the raciest tracks they had seen thus far in 2013. When the final checkered flag flew, Kinser crossed the line fifth to earn his second top-five finish of the young season.

Top 10 at Kings Speedway for Dollansky

It had been since 2003 since the STP World of Outlaws last completed a full program at Kings Speedway.  Although the series competed two years ago at the facility the event was cut short by Mother Nature prior to the feature going green.  Back on the schedule this season, favorable California weather was on tap Friday for Craig Dollansky and the rest of the Outlaws as the Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team prepared to do battle once again in Hanford.
