Kinser’s Podium Finish Highlights Tony Stewart Racing’s Run in Edmonton

Last weekend, Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Steve Kinser and Donny Schatz traveled to their northern-most stop on the 2012 World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series schedule. The TSR teams ventured to Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta, for Friday and Saturday’s sixth annual Oil City Cup. Both Kinser and Schatz were looking to return to victory lane at the 3/8-mile dirt oval for the first time since 2007. Neither driver was able to snap his winless streak at the track, but Kinser finished third in Saturday’s 35-lap finale while Schatz finished fifth.

Kraig Kinser Concludes World of Outlaws Second Canadian Swing of 2012

Bloomington, Ind.—August 26, 2012— A record number of events “North of the Border” in Canada dotted the World of Outlaws schedule this year, with the final pair of those six contests taking to the track this past weekend at Castrol Raceway in the Sixth Annual Oil City Cup. Kraig Kinser was in action in Edmonton, marking the fifth straight year he has raced at the three-eighths-mile, located in the province of Alberta.

Kerry Madsen – Two Week Review!

Northern Exposure: Kraig Kinser Heads North of the Border to Edmonton

Bloomington, Ind.—August 23, 2012— Kraig Kinser has competed at the southernmost track on the World of Outlaws schedule already this season, as well as the easternmost and the westernmost. That leaves just the northernmost venue, and he’ll be able to check that one off the list this weekend, as he heads north of the border for the second time this season to take part in the Oil City Cup at Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Schatz Continues Post-Knoxville Surge with Two Outlaw Wins

Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Donny Schatz continued his torrid pace last week in World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series action by racing the TSR No. 15 STP/Armor All/Chevrolet J&J to victory in a pair of WoO races and added a second-place finish another as the Outlaws raced in Nebraska and North Dakota. TSR’s Steve Kinser closed the week with a top-five run aboard the TSR No. 11 Bass Pro Shops/J.D. Byrider/Chevrolet Maxim after experiencing bad luck in the first two WoO races of the week.

Dollansky Keeping Consistency Going in Minot

 

Last year flood waters submerged Nodak Speedway preventing the World of Outlaws from racing in Minot, North Dakota.  A year later and back on the schedule, the grounds were dry and ready to sling dirt as Craig Dollansky and the Big Game Treestands #7 team returned to the 3/8-mile on Sunday for their 7th appearance at the facility in front of a huge crowd.

Kraig Kinser Finishes Ninth in the Magic City Showdown at Nodak Speedway

Bloomington, Ind.—August 20, 2012— Kraig Kinser has always had a good set-up and run pretty well at Nodak Speedway in Minot, N.D. After a one-year hiatus due to flooding in the area, Kinser and his fellow World of Outlaws competitors returned high-banked three-eighths-mile on Sunday, Aug. 19, for the Magic City Showdown, with a very large crowd in attendance. Kinser entered the event with three career Top-10 finishes in four starts at the facility, and turned in another consistent run at Nodak, finishing ninth to earn his 35th Top-10 finish of the season.
