Following a top-five on Tuesday, short-track action continued on Friday for the Big Game Treestands #7 team as they traveled north to River Cities Speedway.  In ten previous appearances, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ has great familiarity with the high-banked bullring leading the World of Outlaws with three victories along with nine top-tens and seven top-fives including a third place finish earlier this season in June.

Tony Stewart Racing Teams Return to Action in North Dakota

INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 16, 2012) – Sometimes, things just happen for a reason. It’s as if the schedule makers for the 2012 World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series knew this weekend was the right time to venture back to North Dakota for a pair of events. Dollansky’s 25th Top Five Comes at Junction Motor Speedway

 

For the first time since finishing runner-up in June of 2010, Craig Dollansky and the rest of the World of Outlaws returned to Junction Motor Speedway this year for a Tuesday affair of racing on a beautiful day in McCool Junction, Nebraska.  The event in ‘The Cornhusker State’ also marked the fourth and final stop of the inaugural Kasey Kahne Challenge.

Schatz Continues Dominance in Sprint Car Racing’s Biggest Event

For competitors in Sprint car racing, there is one week that can make a season. Every August, the focal point becomes Knoxville, Iowa, and the Knoxville Nationals. Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) teammates Steve Kinser and Donny Schatz have risen to the occasion numerous times at Knoxville during their careers. This year’s week in Iowa lived up to all the hype and, when the dust settled Saturday night, Schatz had the TSR No. 15 STP/Armor All/Chevrolet J&J on a rail in the 50-lap A-Main finale. He took the lead early in the race and held off a late challenge by Brian Brown to win his sixth Knoxville Nationals triumph in the last seven seasons.

Kraig Kinser Finishes Fourth in the Knoxville Nationals

Bloomington, Ind.—August 12, 2012— Qualifying for the main event at the Knoxville Nationals is often a victory in itself, as traditionally the biggest field of the year is present at the famed half-mile in Iowa. Being a former winner of sprint car racing’s marquee event, Kraig Kinser, always strives for a little bit more at the Nationals. He lived up to his own expectations again this year, as he finished fourth in the 50-lap finale, following a third-place showing on the second qualifying night aboard the Hendrickcars.com Maxim.

Kraig Kinser Sets Sights on the 52nd Annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals

Bloomington, Ind.—August 7, 2012—The date August 15, 2005 will forever be etched in Kraig Kinser’s mind. That’s the day he won the Goodyear Knoxville Nationals for the first time. In the process of claiming sprint car racing’s biggest event, he joined his father Steve, as the pair became the first father/son duo to accomplish that feat. The younger Kinser’s victory that season came aboard the family-owned No. 11K, which he is piloting again this year.

Ironman 55 at Pevely Postponed for Dollansky

 

Known for action-packed racing all over, I-55 Raceway is one of the best stops on the World of Outlaws schedule and in the past several years has also become one of the best tracks for Craig Dollansky.  Since 2002, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ has recorded 12 top-fives that include 7 runner-ups and 3 victories among the 16 events contested.  On Saturday the current World of Outlaws point leader returned to the track in Pevely, Missouri now known as Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 as the Big Game Treestands #7 team looked to defend the grueling 55-lap ‘Ironman 55’.
