Kraig Kinser Has Strong Week at Volusia: Earns Three Top-10 Finishes
Bloomington, Ind. — Feb. 20, 2012 — Kraig Kinser had a couple of goals heading into the season-opening 41st Annual UNOH DIRTcar Nationals Presented by Summit Racing Equipment at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla. First, he wanted to run up front and be a contender for wins, which he did on two of the nights of racing. Second, he wanted to be consistent and build a solid foundation for the remainder of the nearly 80-race season, which he also did, racing his way into all five main events during the week of action and racking up three Top-10 finishes.
Schatz Off to Strong Start in 2012 Outlaws Campaign
Four-time World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series champion Donny Schatz led the Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) contingent in the 41st Annual University of Northwestern Ohio DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla., earning a victory, a runner-up finish and a fourth-place run in a span of just over 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday.

It was something that not only TSR’s Donny Schatz felt, but his boss, Tony Stewart, also caught it. The 2012 WoO season is set to open this weekend with the 41st Annual Florida DIRTcar Nationals by University of Northwestern Ohio at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla., and Schatz is hoping he hasn’t been cured.

On Wednesday night, it’s back to business behind the wheel of a Winged Sprint car for the 56-year-old with the 41st Annual Florida DIRTcar Nationals by University of Northwestern Ohio kicking off the 2012 season at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla.
Kraig Kinser Back in Family Car

For Kraig Kinser, that has certainly been the case over the years, especially when he has been behind the wheel of the family-owned No. 11K. He claimed the 2004 Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award with the World of Outlaws in the car and won the Knoxville Nationals the following season, driving for his father Steve’s team.

MOORESVILLE, NC (January 3, 2012) — Kasey Kahne Racing (KKR) announced today that longtime sponsor, Great Clips Inc., will back Joey Saldana for the 2012 World of Outlaws season. Great Clips Inc. has been a sponsor of KKR for the past two seasons on the #91 car with drivers Cody Darrah and Paul McMahan. In 2012, they will be a primary sponsor on the #9 entry with Saldana as well as an associate sponsor on Brad Sweet’s #49 and Cody Darrah’s #5 World of Outlaws cars.
