TSR First Weekend in August Recap

The World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series returned to the Midwest for a pair of races on the short tracks this past weekend. Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Donny Schatz raced to victory on Friday night in his teammate Steve Kinser’s hometown of Bloomington, Ind., before the  two raced to top-10 finishes in the third annual Ironman 55 at I-55 Raceway on Saturday night.

TSR East Coast Wrap Up

INDIANAPOLIS (June 28, 2011) – As if the stakes weren’t high enough each night on the World of Outlaws (WoO) tour, a new driver claimed victory last night to add his name to the record books with the Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) tandem of Steve Kinser and Donny Schatz. That winner just happened to be their boss, Tony Stewart. Now, each has won a WoO A-Feature thanks to Stewart’s dominant run on Wednesday night at Ohsweken (Ontario) Speedway in the opener of the Outlaws’ eastern Canada swing. While Stewart turns his focus to this weekend’s Brickyard 400, Kinser and Schatz look to add to their WoO victory totals (566 for Kinser and 108 for Schatz) when the Outlaws make their debut on Friday night at Brockville (Ontario) Speedway and compete for the second time at Autodromme Drummond in Drummondville, Quebec, on Saturday.

Mission Accomplished: Elite Racing takes home $30,000 after two key wins

“Make your life a mission—not an intermission.” This weekend the 2010 World of Outlaws Champion was a man on a mission. After years of stress and trying, Jason Meyers can finally check two of his biggest goals off his check list. The first item is a win at the famed Williams Grove Speedway and the second is winning a race during the “Month of Money.” Not only was he able to accomplish two of those goals, but at the halfway point of 2011, the Elite Racing team found themselves in the point lead. As a result the team took home $10,000 thanks to the Goodyear Midseason Award. Add the $20,000 from winning the Summer Nationals finale, and it was no doubt a profitable weekend for the whole Elite Racing team.

TSR Takes to East Coast

he World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series passed the midway point of the 2011 season with four races at three different tracks this past week. Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Steve Kinser earned four top-six finishes driving the TSR No. 11 Bass Pro Shops/J.D. Byrider/Chevrolet Maxim, while Donny Schatz raced the TSR No. 15 STP/Armor All/Chevrolet J&J to four top-10s as the Outlaws’ competed in the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup, Williams Grove Summer Nationals and their annual stop at Lebanon Valley Speedway in West Lebanon, N.Y.

Meyers Recap from Eldora

Like a kid that counts the days down until Christmas, The King’s Royal is one of those events that World of Outlaws drivers countdown to. But sometimes just like a child the build up to the day and the night before are sometimes better than the actual day, especially when your socking is full of fruit and your packages are full of underwear. That is how Jason Meyers and his Elite Racing team’s weekend went. Even though the excitement was the night before, Meyers was able to retake the top spot and left Eldora Speedway with a 13 point lead in the World of Outlaws point standings.
