Tony Stewart Racing Teams Kick Off ‘Month of Money’

The World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series kicked off its annual “Month of Money” last week in Ohio with three nights of action. Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Donny Schatz raced the TSR No. 15 STP/Armor All/Chevrolet J&J to victory in Wednesday’s Brad Doty Classic at Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima before he and teammate Steve Kinser ventured to Tony Stewart’s Eldora Speedway in Rossburg for the 28th annual Kings Royal on Friday and Saturday. Schatz and Kinser were joined in action all three nights by team owner Tony Stewart. Kinser drove the TSR No. 11 Bass Pro Shops/J.D. Byrider/ Chevrolet Maxim to a fifth-place finish on Friday night in the Knight Before the Kings Royal 30-lap A-Feature. Stewart made his first career Kings Royal A-Feature lineup on Saturday night, driving the TSR No. 14 Office Depot/Mobil 1 J&J, and finished an impressive 10th.

Month of Money Continues for Kraig Kinser

Granger, IA—July 17, 2011–Competing with the World of Outlaws, there is never really much time to dwell on the highs or the lows of a particular night, as there is always another race just around the corner. Month of Money Opens for Kraig Kinser with the Brad Doty Classic at Limaland & Kings Royal at Eldora

Granger, IA—July 12, 2011—The four weeks between the middle of July and the middle of August certainly live up to moniker of “The Month of Money,” as six high paying events dot the World of Outlaws calendar. Kraig Kinser has tasted victory during “The Month of Money” with that coming in the 2005 Knoxville Nationals, and the third generation driver would like nothing more than to pick up a win this year during the stretch, as he continues his first season driving the Casey’s General Store Maxim for the Parsons Motorsports team.

Strong Finish at ‘JB’ Memorial

The Jim Boyd Memorial was the next event for the Big Game Treestands #7 team as they laid eyes on Beaver Dam Raceway for the 2nd running of the event that honored the well-known man who was instrumental in bringing the World of Outlaws to the Upper Midwest.  ‘JB’ was also the founder of Karavan Trailers who have been long-time supporters of Craig Dollansky.

Kinser Returns to the Podium, Schatz Charges Forward in Wisconsin

The World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series surged on through Wisconsin with its annual midsummer stops at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond on Friday and Saturday’s event at Beaver Dam Raceway. Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Steve Kinser and Donny Schatz entered the weekend looking to pad their win totals both on the season and at each track. Kinser’s weekend was highlighted by his charge from eighth to third in the TSR No. 11 Bass Pro Shops/J.D. Byrider/ Chevrolet Maxim at Cedar Lake. Schatz was also a man on the move Friday night, racing the TSR No. 15 STP/Armor All/Chevrolet J&J from 19th to sixth. On Saturday at Beaver Dam, Kinser finished seventh and Schatz was eighth.

Elite Racing Duel in Dodge: So Close to Independence Day

While the rest of the Nation is celebrating Independence Day, Jason Meyers and his Elite Racing team were attempting to declare their independence from the winless streak they have been faced with.  During the Duel in Dodge City, Meyers came very close to achieving this goal, but came a few spots from it. With two pole positions and two podium finishes at Dodge City Raceway Park the 2010 Champion closed within 11 points of the points lead.

Elite Encounter: Class is in session at Princeton Speedway

When people hear the name Princeton, they normally picture the hallowed halls of the University, but there is a second Princeton in Minnesota that is home to a racetrack. One may not think the two are related, but one theory on how the town got its name states that a group of homesick New Englanders named the town in honor of Princeton, New Jersey.  On Saturday night, Jason Meyers and his Elite Racing team were looking to be the head of the class at Princeton Speedway, but came a few spots short. Then when the team traveled to Huset’s Speedway they met with their #1 adversary this season: Mother Nature.
