The State of Kansas is named after the Indian tribe which used to inhabit the land, the Kansa. The tribe’s name means “people of the wind,” which is fitting with all the fast paced racing action the state saw this weekend. Jason Meyers and his Elite Racing team had to race like the wind over the weekend to score two top-5 finishes. First up was the team’s first visit to the Belleville Highbanks, before the team traveled to Lakeside Speedway in the heart of Kansas City.
